Walking Planet Earth

Sorry if I come off a bit ranty.. But here are my philosophies.. :)

I’ve lived by few philosophies in my life time and I don’t think they will change anytime soon. The First and most important philosophy I live by is that there is always someone watching you. It doesn’t matter if you’re all alone or in a group, there is always someone up above watching you. I arrived at this philosophy as a small child in Sunday school and find that it is sometimes a very hard rule to live by.

The second most important philosophy I live by is that if you want something you have to work for it. Nothing great will ever just fall in your lap. There is always a initiative that can be taken to reach a goal. Just take everything one step at a time and have fun on your way there. If you want to be successful you have to get up and do something about it.

The third philosophy I live by is simple. I think that it could be the most important but it isn’t always applicable. I like to believe that life is here for us to enjoy. I’m not saying that life shouldn’t be taken seriously in any aspect but some people need to relax and kick back every once in a while. Being all up tight and hard on your self is no way to go through life! I would rather work as a janitor or a mechanic before I take a job that I don’t enjoy. I think that this is such a simple rule but a lot of people I know can not just relax and have a fun cheerful attitude.

And a cute wittle doggy for anyone who didn't like my words of wisdom :P

I think it's more inspiring (and less creepy) to know that I'm always watching me.

Agreed on points two and three, though - three especially is really important, and seems to take people a lot of time to realize.

And even though I did like your words I'll take the cute wittle animal anyway, so HA! =)

Thanks lolitical! Sorry if I came off a bit preachy. I didn't mean too :P

What about when you're in the shower? Is someone watching you then? What about the attractive young women over the age of 18 where can the rest of us get the feed to watch them when they thing they're alone?

BragonDorn said... Reply To This Comment

It's out there. You just need to know where to look. Or you could take action. Buy a hotel and set cameras up in the bathrooms behind the mirrors. Best of luck to you sir :)

Love your philosophies, especially the third one. Might as well live it out when you still have the chance to.

The simplest are usually the best.

animestan) You are exactly right! Live it up :)

Some great philosphies, very much agree with the 3rd one too. I just hope no one is up there watching me in the loo..haha

Teddi said... Reply To This Comment

life is for living indeed! with that someone is watching you, are you referring to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imaginary_audience
or something spiritual?

BragonDorn said... Reply To This Comment

Teddi) I would say a little of both...

Great philosophies and too true, 2 and 3 are most profound for me as I embark on this new year and have a hard row to hoe ahead.

Thanks for the follow! Happy New Year and I hope 2012 is filled with goals met and lots of success for you.

:) happy new year

Hmm...worth pondering over!

I agree with all three.

First, we are being watched; whether that's "the big guy" concept or just our conscience - we are being watched!

Next, anything worth having is worth working hard for. Straight forward! I live by this rule; was raised by it; and raised my daughter by it. There is no such thing as a free ride!

Last...you hit #3 on the nose: life is for enjoying, not racing through it, or trying to keep up with the Jones'; it's about laughing and enjoying the present moment.
Once this day is done, it's done forever...there is no dress rehearsal - this one time around is it! So I agree, chill, relax and breath!

Good post! Valid stuff!

Heaven) I think you have a cute blog and name :) Keep working toward your goals and set your priorities and you will live prosperous.

mouse) I'm glad you found something interesting. I like to keep my posts more on the random side so everyone can enjoy atleast one thing here..

Shaw) Is that a kitty? I thought it was an otter at first then I thought Leopard Cub. I am not totally sure lol :)

Melissa) Thanks for the follow back and Happy New Year to you as well!

Jaya J) Thanks for the comment and Happy New Years!

Pearson) Thank you for your insight! I am not really one for obsessing on anything for more than a few minutes. If I don't have a smile on my face I normally move on. I was on your blog earlier reading about your personal Starbucks and it made me smile like a mad man. My girlfriend also has a mini starbucks just like yours! Thanks again everyone :)

Bragon Dorn: Good philosophies. I too think that life should be enjoyed.

I believe our character is determined by what we’ll do when no one is looking.

Happy New Year.

Excellent philosophies to live by. The so-called golden rule ain't a bad one either. I memorized the Desiderata when I was fifteen and it's been my personal path ever since. Happy and festive New Year's to you!

RoySr said... Reply To This Comment

Philosophy? Bah Humbug! Still, I like the concepts you outlined. Now, when are you gonna open the bar?

Thanks for the visit at my Roost (KnightOwl's Roost!) I'm more into cats than into the deep stuff. As if a cat under the covers getting antsy with your big toe ain't deep enough ......

Have a Happy 2012, and y'all come when you can. I will too!

Life without levity isn't really living. It is existing and I don't want to just exist.

Lord Phrozen said... Reply To This Comment

Yeah, I gotta agree. Some people are just way too serious and needs to cool off and enjoy life a little.

I'd be happier and less self-conscious to work for success if there wasn't always someone watching me every time I fail! Cheers!

That animal is adorable, though I can't tell what it is. A kitty? I like your words of wisdom too. I think many people who can't relax were, ironically, the ones who were born into wealth and relative ease. They just don't get it, never will.

Thanks for dropping by so I could discover, and follow, your blog.
Happy New Year!

You're clever, i liked your philosophies, but i think there is someone watching us, not in a astral way, but in social way. There is always someone watching our steps, be it a failure or succes, there is someone always wanting it.

Thanks for the follow! I would say that those are all pretty good philosophies, especially the third. If you don't enjoy your time here, then what's the point? Hope you have a happy New Year!
